In Greek mythology Callisto was a beautiful wood nymph who ran with Artemis, got into some trouble after a wild night with Zeus, was turned into a bear, had a baby and was tossed into the sky and become the constellation Ursa Major.

As with all our jewelry it is hand carved and cast in reclaimed and nickel free brass and treated with a natural wax to preserve the deep gold finish.
